Striated Gold Nugget .25 grams

This fascinating gold nugget was discovered by a prospector on the Etheridge goldfield in North Queensland's gulf country.

Whilst only tiny, it features striations, which are the linear series of grooves visible on the nugget.  These striations are very rare and result from unique conditions in the formation and weathering of the gold
